Enlisting into the Air Force to serve America was my destiny as generations of Cordozas had done. Following a service of 3 years I honorably left the Air Force and sought to further my education at Thomas Nelson Community College. I began to gain interest in politics during the 2008 Presidential Campaign as the possibility of the nation electing the first black President. Soon after the election, I began reflecting on the policies of the new Democratic Party finding that my core values did not align with the Democrats, but the Republicans.
Today I work in cyber security for Newport News Shipbuilding where I focus on keeping our Naval assets safe against enemy threats. I live in Hampton where I serve as Vice-Chairman of the Hampton Republican Party.
- As your delegate I will work to stabilize our economy by lowering your costs and implementing policies to help businesses start and grow quickly.
- As your delegate I will work ensure that Virginia has the best education system in the country. We will focus on making sure the voices of our parents are heard while ensuring that teachers are paid a proper wage for the excellent work that they do.
- As your delegate I will work to lower health care costs and expand health insurance coverage so that all Virginians are able to afford it.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
