Two Akron & Barberton School District Levy Addition measures was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the school districts of Akron and Barberton which are in Summit County.

Both measures were defeated

The Akron measure sought to add to the current school levy by rate of 5.5 mills for an ongoing amount of time in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the school district.

The Barberton measure sought to add to the current school levy by a rate of 8.74 mills for period of five years in order to further pay for emergency requirements as needed in the school district.[1]
