A well run 4th district with low taxes, responsive government, and citizens who feel free and supported.
The Governor should manage the executive branch as empowered by the power of the purse controlled by the legislature. Both branches should work together to ensure maximum liberty, lowest taxes and regulations, and maximum efficiency in government process and service.

Neither branch should be superior to the other, the governor should ensure compliance with both the letter of the budget and the spirit of the budget approved by the legislature.

Ultimately, the Washington State government should be run as much as possible like a business, tracking and maximizing cost savings, and ensuring that savings are passed to residents.
Public safety and police/justice funding, Zoning and growth management regulations, Stifling taxes and regulations like cap and trade, Changes in the economy resulting from work from home and other large scale market changes, Inflation, and Government programs with no real world basis or performance monitoring.
At the legislative level yes. All senators must recognize that while we advocate for our local constituency, ultimately our decisions have impacts state wide including constituencies that may have very different needs and values than the ones we represent. Getting to know your fellow representatives and exchanging ideas is the best way to find legislative compromises that serve all Washington State residents. It is through polite discourse in which we value each others diverse options while capably representing our own that unique solutions and truth are found.

Government should be fully transparent to the governed, ensuring maximum access to government records and maximum openness in public meetings.

any government office having impact on the lives of the governed should be directly accountable to citizens through election or indirectly accountable through appointed leadership that is directly accountable to elected officials.
I would only consider changes that help initiative advocates to ensure that initiative language is certified as constitutional to avoid challenges that upend the will of the people.
