I lead the effort to refund over $2 million to overcharged Yorba Linda Water District (YLWD) citizens while on the Board of Directors. I spearheaded the Municipal Water District of OC (MWDOC) refund of over $3 million in excess reserves to OC cities and water districts.

My unique experience at the local (YLWD) and regional (MWDOC) levels means you’ll get the most knowledgeable representation at the OC Water District (OCWD). The nation’s first Heli-Hydrant to fight wild fires was installed because as a Board member for the YLWD, I championed this transformational equipment. I currently serve on the Board for the largest water provider in OC, MWDOC, where I represent Yorba Linda, Brea, Placentia, La Habra, Buena Park and La Palma. My priorities are to insure plentiful, safe water at a reasonable cost. Your vote will bring my experienced, cost-conscious approach to the Orange County Water District (OCWD). Your vote will insure integrity and cost-effective actions while maintaining a reliable, plentiful supply of water for Orange County. You and OCWD deserve a fresh perspective and an active approach to reasonable cost controls. I’m committed to making that happen for you.

I would appreciate your vote. Thank you.
  • Provide experienced, effective leadership and oversight so OCWD is a cost-effective water provider. As one member of 10 for the Orange County Water District Board you can trust that I will ask the right questions to make sure your rate dollars are spent wisely.
  • Insure plentiful, safe water for all of Orange County
  • While on the Board of Yorba Linda Water District (YLWD) for 4 years I was a leader in providing over $2 million in refunds to rate payers while insuring the very best quality water. The nation's first heli-hydrant to fight wildfires was created through my leadership while on the YLWD Board.

While on the Board of the Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) during the last 4 years, I lead in refunding over $3 million to water districts and cities from excess reserves.

I will provide the same type of careful, thoughtful leadership if you elect me to the Board of the Orange County Water District (OCWD).
Water is vital to life and growth. Water plays a critical part in our daily lives with a drink from the faucet, to laundry, showers, flushing the toilet, growing a yard for our kids and pets while also supporting pleasant parks and flourishing businesses.

Ensuring smart policies and effective expenditures and investments that result in plentiful, safe water so we can enjoy life in Orange County is my number one priority.
Personal integrity is a key element in my life and a key part of my evaluation of any individual. Billy Graham was an individual with amazing life success who ended up being friends and adviser to many Presidents. In all of that he was faithful to the highest level of integrity and never had any questions about his commitment of the highest personal standards of behavior.
I believe that elected officials are responsible to make the best choices for all of Orange County. Parochial or self-interests are anathema to creating and sustaining trusted, well run local agencies like Orange County Water District.
Personal integrity is a must for every elected official. Understanding the complexities of providing water to OC is vital. Having the personal discipline and maturity to be well informed about the history, current situation and future challenges is to be expected.

Having the courage to ask the right, tough questions of the OC Water Department leadership and staff sheds light on the best path forward that includes safe, plentiful water supplies.
I have self-funded each of my elected campaigns so that I'm not beholden to anyone. I study the material and financials so I'm well informed. I ask tough questions to get to the heart of issues.

I have been deeply involved in water boards for the last 8 years, 4 at the local level and 4 at the OC county and southern California level, so I'm experienced in the history, issues and challenges facing our water world.
As a Board Member for OCWD the core responsibilities include: being well informed, asking the right questions, voting to insure policies are put in place to keep safe, plentiful water available for OC.
I want OCWD to be well run, properly funded, with effective Board leadership ensuring that Orange County has plenty of safe, reliable water.
The first political event that had an impact on me was the Presidential Election in 1964. I had just started high school and many of the students were active in supporting the candidates.
One of my very first jobs was as a busboy at a restaurant at Knott's Berry Farm. I used this job to buy my first car, pay for going to school and to date the girl I met and later married.
The Bible. It has the guidance we need on most of the key issues of life, behavior and who we should be.
Hercule Poirot the super sleuth of Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes, the super detective.
I love music and 2 of my favorites are: Remember When and You were Always on my Mind.
Trying to keep up with the many water issues, legislation and water related challenges requires lots of time and effort.
Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7, 8 , 9! (7 ate 9)
