The Alabama Ad Valorem Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 6, 1990, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed to confirm all ad valorem taxes used for education that had been ratified prior to March 1, 1990, regardless of any errors in the legislation that authorized them.[1]
