The Alabama Bond Issue Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on March 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measured proposed to authorize the state to assume indebtedness of up to $520 million for the costs associated with roads, highways, bridges, schools, prisons, the development of Mobile Harbor and other public projects.[1]
