The Alabama Cattle Industry Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Alabama on May 14, 1985, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed a voluntary assessment upon cattle producers to fund programs related to the state's cattle industry.[1]
