The Alabama City of Huntsville School Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 18, was on the ballot in Alabama on March 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed to remove the restrictions placed on the school district of the City of Huntsville in relation to a special school tax. It stipulated that the proceeds from that tax could be used for general school purposes.[1]
