The Alabama Cleburne County Government Amendment, also known as Amendment 5, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 18, 1973, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure proposed to give various financial powers to municipalities in Cleburne County to assist them in attracting business and industry.[1]
