The Alabama County Budget, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 3, 1964, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the legislature would be authorized to fix, regulate and alter the fees, commissions, percentages, allowances and compensation received or distributed by the judge of probate, sheriff, tax assessor and collector, clerk of the circuit court, and register of the circuit court of Escambia County.[1]
