The Alabama County Budget, Amendment 4, also known as Amendment 4, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 6, 1966, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the legislature would be authorized to fix, regulate and alter the fees, commissions, percentages, allowances and salaries received or distributed by the tax assessor and tax collector in Marengo County. The tax assessor and tax collector may also go on salary.[1]
