The Alabama County Budget, Amendment 5, also known as Amendment 5, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 7, 1944, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the legislature fix, regulate, or alter fees, commissions, allowances and salaries, including the basis upon which they are based, for the county of Walker.[1]
