The Alabama County District Tax, Amendment 7, also known as Amendment 7, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 13, 1949, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed to allow Cherokee County to levy and collect a special district tax of 50 cents on each $100 of taxable property for the funding of public schools.[1]
