The Alabama County Indebtedness, Amendment 3, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 6, 1966, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that Marengo County would be allowed to become indebted up to $400,000 in aggregate principal through the issuance of bonds. The revenue would be used to fund a new courthouse. The above must be first approved by a majority of electors.[1]
