The Alabama County Indebtedness, Amendment 9, also known as Amendment 9, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 5, 1946, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that Mobile County would continue to have and possess the right and authority to become indebted for the construction or erection of public buildings, bridges and roads, provided that Amendments XVIII, XXIX and XVIII are adhered to.[1]
