The Alabama County Tax Provisions, Amendment 14, also known as Amendment 14, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 5, 1961, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that Clarke County be permitted to levy and collect an additional county tax of 50 cents on each $100 worth of taxable property for public school funding. The tax must be approved by a majority of electors.[1]
