The Alabama Employees Legal Action Amendment, also known as Amendment 4, was on the ballot in Alabama on March 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure proposed that an employee covered by workers' compensation could not bring legal action against a co-worker for personal injury suffered on the job.[1]
