The Alabama Etowah County Firefighting Districts Amendment, also known as Amendment 8, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed to authorize Etowah County to establish firefighting districts within the county.[1]
