The Alabama Franklin County Courts Amendment, also known as Amendment 5, was on the ballot in Alabama on September 28, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed to authorize the legislature to regulate the fees and commissions of the probate court in Franklin County and to place the judge of that court on salary.[1]
