The Alabama Housing Finance Authority Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Alabama on March 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that the legislature could authorize payment by the state for expenses of the Alabama Housing Finance Authority that were incurred to acquire or make mortgage loans on privately owned residential property.[1]
