The Alabama Houston County Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 9, was on the ballot in Alabama on September 13, 1977, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure proposed that in Houston County, the tax rate on a certain class of property could be reduced.[1]
