Alabama Infrastructure Districts, Amendment 2 (1924)

The Alabama Infrastructure Districts, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 4, 1924, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the legislature may form districts for establishing and maintaining a drainage system; for the building and maintaining of public roads, seawalls or other protection against waves, storm or flood therein; and provide for the assessment of the whole or part of the cost of such improvements, provided the improvements increase the value of the land. This amendment would only apply to Mobile and Baldwin counties.[1]
