The Alabama Lauderdale County Tax Collection Amendment, also known as Amendment 16, was on the ballot in Alabama on March 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed to allow Lauderdale County to create one office that would result from the consolidation of the offices of the tax assessor and tax collector.[1]
