The Alabama Legislative Limits over Local Government, Amendment 30, also known as Amendment 30, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 5, 1961, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the state legislature would not be permitted to alter, via local, private or special laws, the function of government of DeKalb County without the prior consent of the voters of the DeKalb County.[1]
