The Alabama Mobile County Ad Valorem Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 10, was on the ballot in Alabama on September 13, 1977, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure proposed an increase in ad valorem taxes in Mobile County. The revenue from the additional tax would be used to fund a raise in salary for county and municipal law enforcement.[1]
