The Alabama Municipal Tax, Amendment 3, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 5, 1946, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the city of Haleyville would be authorized to levy and collect a tax on property not exceeding, in any one year, one percent of the value of such property as assessed.[1]
