The Alabama Port of Mobile Development Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Alabama on June 10, 1975, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed that the state could acquire debt, form a public corporation and engage in other activities for the development and improvement of the Port of Mobile.[1]
