Alabama Russell County Fees and Commissions Amendment (1978)

The Alabama Russell County Fees and Commissions Amendment, also known as Amendment 8, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 7, 1978, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed that costs and charges of the probate court as well as fees and commissions charged by county officers in Russell County could be regulated by the legislature. In addition, it stated that the legislature could set salaries and compensation for county officers in Russell county.[1]
