Senate Bill 147 was a bill introduced to the Alabama State Senate by Sen. Larry Dixon on January 12, 2010. It was sponsored by Sens. Lowell Barron, Vivian Figures, and T.D. Little. The bill passed the Alabama State Senate on February 16, 2010, passed the Alabama House of Representatives on February 23, 2010, and was sent to Governor Bob Riley for his signature. The bill ultimately died in the basket after passing the House and Senate.

Alabama SB 147 would have required the Alabama Board of Court Reporting to keep records that can be inspected as open records.[1]
