Senate Bill 278 was a bill introduced to the Alabama State Senate by Sen. Steve French on January, 19, 2010. The bill passed the Alabama State Senate on February 17, 2010. The bill ultimately died in the Alabama House of Representatives.
If passed, the bill would have required any municipality to give notification of changes to ordinance laws by posting information in the mayors' office, post office, in a local newspaper or online.[1]
