Alabama Soil, Water and Forestry Improvement Amendment (May 1985)

The Alabama Soil, Water and Forestry Improvement Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on May 14, 1985, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that the state legislature fund a commission to award grants for soil conservation, water quality improvement, reforestation and other projects to benefit agricultural or timber lands in Alabama.[1]
