The Alabama Special County School Tax, Amendment 6, also known as Amendment 6, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 13, 1949, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed to allow St. Clair County to levy and collect a special school tax of 50 cents on each $100 of taxable property.[1]
