The Alabama Special County School Tax, Amendment 6, also known as Amendment 6, was on the ballot in Alabama on February 16, 1960, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that Coosa County would be authorized to levy and collect a special county school tax not to exceed 50 cents on each $100 of taxable property. The tax must be voted on by the electors and pass with a majority.[1]
