The Alabama Special Municipal Tax, Amendment 4, also known as Amendment 4, was on the ballot in Alabama on December 5, 1967, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that any city would be authorized to levy and collect a special tax not to exceed five one-hundredths of one percent on taxable property to help fund a public library.The above must be first approved by a majority of electors.[1]
