Alabama Special School Tax, Amendment 14 (1965)

The Alabama Special School Tax, Amendment 14, also known as Amendment 14, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 30, 1965, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the city of Fort Payne in DeKalb County would be authorized to levy and collect a special school tax of no more than $1 on each $100 of taxable property. The above must be first approved by a majority of electors.[1]
