Alabama Supreme Court appoints temporary probate judge

Alabama: The Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb has appointed B. Andrew Monaghan a Baldwin County attorney to be a stand in Probate Judge. The position he fills is that left by the retirement of Adrian Johns, and will remain there until the governor names a permanent replacement. Monaghan is a private practice attorney, and said that he did not know if he was being considered as a candidate for the Governor Bob Riley. The Governor is not expected to make a decision until after April 26, after the current legislative season ends.[1]
