The Alabama Voter Registration Qualifications, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 30, 1965, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that those individuals over 21 and citizens of the U.S. would be permitted to register to vote, provided that they can read and write.[1]
