The Alabama Voter Registration in Madison County, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Alabama on May 30, 1972, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed that individuals seeking voter registration in Madison County would not be required to appear in person at the county board of registrars.[1]
