The Alabama Wheat and Feed Grain Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 4, 1986, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed to authorize wheat and feed grain producers to levy an assessment upon themselves to provide funding for programs to enhance their industry in Alabama.[1]
