The Alabama Winston County Road and Volunteer Fire Protection Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 14, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 7, 2000, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed to authorize a property tax to support fire protection and road maintenance in Winston County.[1]

The question on the ballot:

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, relating to Winston County, to authorize the Winston County Commission to levy a three-mill ad valorem tax for maintenance of public roads and for volunteer fire protection. (Proposed by Act No. 2000-405)[2][3]
