There were four Alamogordo Charter Amendment Measures on the March 2 ballot in Otero County for voters in the city of Alamogordo.
Three of the four amendments were approved
- The first amendment sought to allow the commission to elect a replacement commissioner when a spot is vacated within 30 days of the vacated seat occurring.
- The second amendment sought to increase the reimbursement commissions receive per meeting, from $50 to $250.
- The third amendment sought to prohibit commissioners from holding another elected office at the same time they are a commissioner.
- The fourth amendment sought to have an organizational meeting directly after each city election so that the mayor and the mayor pro-tem can be elected.[1]
