Biography

Alan Khazei earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He co-founded and worked as the CEO of the national service program City Year. Khazei also co-founded the Service Year Alliance and founded Democracy Entrepreneurs. He is the author of Big Citizenship: How Pragmatic Idealism Can Bring Out The Best in America. Khazei and his wife have two children.[1]
