Alan Leiman
Alan J. Leiman was a 2012 judicial candidate for the 2nd Judicial District in Oregon. At the time of the election, he was also serving as a judge on the Veneta Municipal Court, a position he had held since 2011.[1]
Education
Leiman earned his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1985 and his J.D. from the University of Miami in 1992.[1]

2012 election
Leiman was defeated by Jay McAlpin in the November 6th election. He did not appear on the ballot and campaigned as a write-in.[2][3]

Delay in results
The results for the write-in race for the 2nd Judicial District, Position 7 were not released until November 20th.[3][4][5] The votes were hand-counted and talliers did not begin counting until the 13th.[6][7]
