Alan Olsen
Alan Olsen is a former Republican member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 20 from 2011 to 2021. Olsen resigned on January 10, 2021, citing a need to put family first.[1]
Biography
Olsen earned his B.S. in chemistry from Purdue University. His professional experience has included working as a general contractor and as a small business owner. Olsen also served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971.[2]

Elections for the Oregon State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Jamie Damon was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Alan Olsen was unopposed in the Republican primary. Olsen also ran on the Independent party ticket and Damon also ran on the Working Families Party ticket. Olsen defeated Damon in the general election.[5][6][7]
