Alanson School District Bond Measure (May 2010)
There was a Alanson School District Bond Measure on the May 4 ballot in Emmet County for voters in the Alanson school district.
This measure was approved
- YES 152 (64.68%)
- NO 83 (35.32%)[1]
This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $960,000 in order to help with furnishing, remodeling and upgrading technology at the various school buildings in the district.[2] The bond will add a $.35 tax, per $100 of assessed property value, to local property taxes which will amount to an average of $17.50 a year in additional taxes for local residents. The school superintendent noted that fixing the leaking roofs at one school and technology upgrades are important to the student's education.[3]
