Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Denny Wells (D)

Working for Alaska families: I am dedicated to helping families in my community, and all across Alaska. As a husband and father to three school-aged children, I know firsthand the challenges facing families in our community, including quality education, affordable childcare, economic opportunities, and public safety.

Fiscal Responsibility and a long term fiscal plan - Alaskans have seen firsthand the negative impacts that come when the services Alaskans depend on are tied almost exclusively to a single volatility-priced commodity. We need to diversify our economy by continuing to responsibly develop Alaska’s abundant natural resources, protect and grow the permanent fund, and create a long term fiscal plan that provides stability to our state and our economy.

Protecting Alaskans’ rights - Alaska’s Constitution is considered one of the best in the country. One of its highlights is an explicit right to privacy. My opponent believes that government and partisan politics should dictate the private health care decisions you and your doctor make. I will fight to protect your right to privacy so that you continue to be empowered to make your own decisions free from government overreach.
