The Alaska Oil Revenue Spending Cap Amendment did not make the 2012 ballot in the state of Alaska as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The measure would have placed a spending cap of $6 million on oil revenue collected. According to reports, the spending cap would have been allowed to be adjusted in case of inflation and population growth. Also, at least least two-thirds of the money above the cap would have been put into savings. The amendment was filed by state senator Bill Wielechowski. The measure did not make the ballot as 2012 session ended.[1]
