Albert S. "Pat" Murdoch
Albert S. "Pat" Murdoch was a District Court judge in the Second Judicial District of New Mexico.[1] He retired from the court on July 29, 2011.[2]
Allegations of rape
In mid-July 2011, Murdoch was accused of intimidation of a witness and rape. The New Mexico Judicial Standards Commission began a disciplinary investigation of the judge. At that time, Murdoch and the commission agreed to a deal that involved him stepping down and never again seeking judicial office in the state. He was officially ordered to step down by the New Mexico Supreme Court.[2]
