Aldon Junior Anderson was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Utah. He was nominated by President Richard Nixon on June 17, 1971, to a seat vacated by Albert Christensen. He served as chief judge from 1978 until he assumed senior status on December 20, 1984. Anderson died while serving on senior status on March 24, 1996.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

Anderson was nominated by President Richard Nixon on June 17, 1971, to a seat vacated by Judge Albert Christensen. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 22, 1971, and received commission that same day. He served as chief judge from 1978 until he assumed senior status on December 20, 1984. Anderson served until his death on March 24, 1996.[1] Anderson was succeeded in this position by Judge David Sam.
