My name is Alejandro, but some people call me Ale, and I am a Latino immigrant. I put myself through college by working multiple jobs in policy research and advocacy. Several years ago, a friend and I started a successful local consulting firm that employs dozens every year. In my community, I am known as a doer, a squeaky wheel that makes things happen. I am running because I want to make positive change happen for the Westside. I know that our city could do more to improve District 2. Many of my neighbors feel neglected, even forgotten. What the westside needs are SOLUTIONS, and fast. We can't waste any more time just talking about the issues. We need action. As your council member, I will get to know you and the issues you care about. My promise to you is that I will make things happen and I will listen to you because your voice is important to me.
I am passionate about getting things done. When a neighbor(s) complain about speeding in residential areas where kids play, it is the duty of our city to respond and act. When neighbors tell you that there are needles and sharp objects in parks and near schools, it is the city's role to act. When the neighbors don't feel safe leaving their houses, it is upon our city to find solutions.

I am a doer and someone that listens. I want to be the council member that proves to west siders that the city is listening and cares for them.
